Industrial Management at Esslingen

  • 1971: The Faculty of Business Administration is established with the objective of equipping engineers with basic knowledge of business administration by offering a postgraduate course.
  • 1977: In the winter semester, the full ?Engineering Management (WI)? Diplom programme is offered for the first time.
  • 1996: In the winter semester, the ?Industrial Management (TB)? Diplom course is set up.
  • 1998: As part of the internationalisation strategy, the Master in ?International Industrial Management (MBA)? follows in the winter semester.
  • 2002: The ?Business Information Systems (WF)? Diplom programme is set up on the G?ppingen Campus to accept students from the winter semester onwards.
  • 2005: All Diplom programmes are converted into Bachelor programmes (TBB, WIB, WFB) in the winter semester.
  • 2007: The ?Innovation Management (IMM)? Master programme is offered for the first time in the winter semester.
  • 2008: The ?Engineering Management? sister faculty is founded on the G?ppingen Campus as of the winter semester and continues the Business Information Systems (WFB) degree programme and additionally develops the ?International Engineering Management? degree programme.
  • 2013: The ?Industrial Management/Automobile Industry (TAB)? Bachelor programme starts in the winter semester. On the G?ppingen Campus, the Engineering Management programme (abbreviated to WNB) continues to be offered at its “Engineering Management” sister faculty and merges with the Bachelor programme in ?International Engineering Management?.
