Laboratory exercises
Detailed information on the laboratory exercises can be found ot the German website.
We always have interesting projects (4 Credits), project work (2 Credits), final projects and work for student researchers in the following fields
as part of research projects and for the general laboratory work. Please contact us if you are interested in working in our laboratory.
For students in the 6th semester of the Bachelor programmes, we offer interesting topics for mechatronics projects. Here are some examples from previous semesters:
“RotoSens” project: At the moment, normal practice is to use very complex and expensive telemetry systems to record the rotor temperature during the testing of electric motors. The RotoSens project developed a measurement system which registers the rotor temperature and transmits it to the stator side with the aid of bluetooth low-energy transmission technology. The challenges here are a power supply with harvesting technologies and the thermostability of the circuit.
“Mobirex Evo 2” project: In collaboration with an industrial partner, a fully functional model of the “Mobirex Evo 2” mobile crusher was set up. This model illustrates how a crusher operates when used in road construction for crushing excavated material, for example. The model was presented to a wide audience at the BAUMA 2019 construction machinery trade fair.
We provide optimum conditions for you to implement the theory you have learned in practice.
The Electrical Engineering Laboratory has a comprehensive range of the latest equipment, such as:
If you are interested in using these facilities, please contact the head of the laboratory, Prof. Martin Neuburger.
