Mobility Management

Esslingen University is using a sustainable mobility concept to help it achieve a long-term reduction in the CO? emissions generated by its transport use, which is demonstrably the biggest contributor. It is focusing on the sustainable optimisation of three fields of activity: mobility behaviour (commuter traffic), business trips and vehicle fleet.

About the project

Conception Phase: 09/2022 – 12/2024
Implementation Phase: 12/2024 - 11/2026

Project sponsor: Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Transport

The Baden-Württemberg Ministry of Transport has supported mobility management projects in companies and authorities since 2018 with its B?MM funding programme. Its goal is “to reduce traffic-generated pollution in the form of CO2 emissions, particulates and nitrogen oxides by funding mobility management measures in authorities and companies”. Using a two-stage method which starts with analysis and conceptual design, it funds the development of a sustainable mobility concept, followed by the implementation of the measures developed.
